Helping thoughtful developers reach more people, and helping people discover, try and fall in love with their work.
Behind a great app is often a real need someone cared enough to solve, and a developer who kept working on the details. CurioIsland wants to bring that care to more people, giving thoughtfully made apps a chance to become a useful, much-loved part of everyday life.
Whether an app comes from an independent developer or a team, we hope to help it find the people it was made for. For you, that means real interfaces, clear introductions and specific reasons to give an app a try, with room to discover something you might never have searched for. Downloads, purchases and subscriptions take place through the official store or the developer’s own service.
Discovery generally shows apps in random order. A position is not a quality ranking, and apps are not sorted by likes, saves or store ratings. We want to give every app a fairer chance to be seen, and give you a chance to encounter different apps each time you visit.
Apps that currently qualify as Thoughtfully maintained appear first, to encourage developers who keep caring for their products and responding to users. That group and the other apps matching your filters are each ordered randomly within their own group. Search at the top of the site uses relevance to help you find a particular app.
Loading more apps or returning from an app page preserves the current order so you can keep browsing. Refreshing or re-entering a category starts a new random round.
We look for a clear purpose, considered interfaces and a useful place in daily life. A listing, editorial selection or verified owner does not certify every feature, guarantee quality or mean that every app has been personally tested. Check the current official price, subscription, regional availability and features before downloading.
App names, icons, store screenshots and some descriptions mainly come from official public sources such as the App Store. Reviewed materials published by verified app owners may also appear. CurioIsland’s introductions and reasons to try an app are kept separately from store copy. Some listings still contain only basic information; being listed does not mean every part of the page is complete.
Store screenshots show store materials. CurioIsland Experience appears only for apps with recorded hands-on use. Its device screenshots, recordings and scene descriptions relate to particular activities and dates, rather than a test of every feature.
Product materials remain the property of their respective rights holders. Information and media may lag behind updates, and a listing does not imply developer participation or endorsement. If you notice an error, outdated information or a rights issue, send the app link, precise location and supporting information so we can check and correct it.
Your island lets you view your saved apps, likes, main comments and claimed codes. This records page is private to you; comments you publish follow the discussion’s visibility rules. Sign in to the same account on another device to continue viewing your records.
You can change your nickname and photo in Account settings, which also shows your available sign-in methods. Signing out or clearing browser data does not delete server-side account records, and earlier anonymous records are not automatically merged. For access problems, account deletion or a copy of your personal information, contact support by email.
Like an app, save it for later, or agree with individual reasons to give it a try. Saved apps can send in-site alerts for important updates or code restocks according to your alert settings. Using is a status you report yourself; the website does not inspect which apps are installed on your device.
When an offer is available, check its benefit, region, redemption steps, stock and deadline in the app’s Redemption codes tab, and meet the account conditions shown before claiming. Successfully claimed codes can be viewed on the original app page and in Your island. Copying a code does not mean it has been redeemed in the app or store.
App comments are open by default, whether or not an app has a verified owner. Availability follows current discussion settings and platform rules. After signing in and verifying your phone number, you can post, reply and attach images or short videos. You can delete your own main comments on the app page. Current app owners may reply and moderate within their permissions, while the platform retains independent review authority.
Share real situations and verifiable facts, respect different experiences, and avoid fabricated claims, harassment or private information. Comments and agreements reflect participants’ views, rather than an independent rating or platform conclusion. The separate Community area is still being prepared; discussion currently takes place mainly in each app’s Comments tab. Rights complaints and appeals can be sent to the platform whether or not comments are open.
Built something thoughtful, or found an app worth sharing? Sign in and submit its official App Store link. The platform checks public store information, points already-listed apps to their existing page, and sends an in-site notification after a successful listing.
You can return to the submission page to see the task’s progress and result. If the store lookup fails, follow the page’s retry guidance. Submitting an app does not grant ownership permissions or mean it has received an editorial recommendation or hands-on review.
Users and developers share one CurioIsland account; app management permissions are verified separately. Existing verified app owners can use Maker Studio to view their own app’s impressions, detail views, App Store clicks and maintenance records. These figures do not measure actual downloads.
From Maker Studio, owners can open the ordinary app page and use Edit to manage store screenshots and Why try it, save a draft and submit it for review. They can also manage offers in the Redemption codes tab. Page changes and new or edited offers become public after review; saving a draft does not publish it.
Self-service claims are open through “Claim an App · My applications” in Maker Studio. Sign in, verify your phone and submit private App Store Connect App Information screenshots showing the name, Apple ID and Bundle ID. Results arrive in-site; withdraw to replace evidence and resubmit. Contact support for ownership disputes or delisting requests. Verifying a sign-in email does not verify app ownership. Keep private evidence out of public comments.
